Convert two existing tanks and provide one new tank for the storage of Jet A1. Provide a Jet sampling, transfer, filtration and loading facility. Dismantle existing office and provide a new office with a control room. Upgrade electrical supply and provide a new sub-station. Ancillary works included extending the firefighting system, relocating dye systems with provision kero dye at the loading rack.
Dismantling existing office before the new one could be erected, construction works in a live operational terminal, changing storage tank contents with impact on supply arrangements, project deadline with delay penalties, limited space within which to locate new infrastructure.
Project management including: financial control and reporting; scheduling of design, procurement; and construction activities and construction management. Develop feasibility proposals, and subsequent design from concept through to construction ensuring JIG compliance. The design incorporated engineering dismantling, civil, tankage, structural, mechanical, electrical, control & instrumentation, and firefighting scopes. Draft equipment specifications (pumps and motors, floating suction arms, microfilters, filter water separators) and manage procurement process. Develop service specifications for the installation works and manage the construction. Act as PSDP and PSCS. Oversee commissioning.
